Application
The surface to be repaired must be clean and free of debris. Apply AIM #320 Wet/Dry Plastic Cement evenly with a pointed roofer’s trowel or gloved hand. Use sufficient pressure to force water out from underneath the mastic as it is applied. AIM #320 Wet/Dry Plastic Cement should be applied 1/8 to 1/4 of an inch thick and may be reinforced with glass membrane or polyester fabric to strengthen the repair.
Repairs made to wet surfaces should be considered temporary as trapped moisture will expand when heated by the sun causing blisters and potentially new leaks. When making a permanent repair, open up the area and allow it to dry thoroughly. Clean up with mineral spirits or waterless hand cleaner. Use care when handling solvents.
