Application
Mechanically mix before using. Do not store above 90°F. Apply only at temperatures above 40°F and rising with less than 90% humidity and no threat of rain for 48 hours. Surface temperatures should be under 100°F to avoid premature curing. If roof surface is hot, apply a light water spray to reduce its temperature.
The roof should be power-washed clean with AIM #110 Detergent Roof Primer. All metal roof fasteners should be inspected and loose, broken or missing fasteners replaced. All seams and fasteners should be sealed prior to coating the roof. Cracked areas should be reinforced with roofing fabric. The surface must be clean and free of loose or flakey rust and paint. Rusted areas should be pre-treated with rust inhibiting primer.
Apply with a roller or suitable spray equipment at the rate of 1.5 gallons per 100 sq. ft. A second coat of AIM #710 is required to achieve a consistent, pinhole free, surface approximately 20 mils thick. Drying time to fi top coat @ 70°F is 2 to 4 hours.
Clean up uncured coating with soap and water. AIM #710 may be used for complete restoration of mobile home roofs when combined with polyester fabric reinforcement. For complete encapsulation of the roof, 40 inch widths of fabric should be embedded in 2 gallons per 100 sq. ft. of coating.
An additional two coats of AIM #710 at 1.5 gallons per 100 sq. ft., totaling 3 gallons, should be applied to the top surface after the final coat has dried. All laps should be a minimum of 4 inches.
