Application

Mix in any separated material prior to using. Do not store above 90ºF. Apply only at temperatures above 40ºF and rising with less than 90% humidity and no threat of rain for 48 hours. Surface temperatures should be under 100ºF to avoid premature curing. If roof surface is hot, apply a light water spray to reduce its temperature. Rusted areas must be primed with Alkyd Metal Primer.

All fasteners should be inspected and loose, broken or missing ones replaced. Seal fasteners. AIM #840 Material should be applied one quarter inch thick with a brush or trowel and extend two inches on either side of the fastener. For added strength, reinforce with polyester fabric. On metal roofs one quart cartridge will seal approximately 100 fasteners or 33 ft. of seams.

Drying time until application of Acrylic based roof coating is 4 to 8 hours @ 70ºF.

Clean wet coating with soap and water. Dry coating may be removed with mineral spirits. Use care when handling solvents.
