Uses
AIM #880 is the ideal solution for various roofing and sealing applications. It is perfect for commercial roofing repairs, effectively sealing metal roof seams, fasteners, and inlaid gutters to prevent leaks and extend the roof’s lifespan. Its advanced formulation makes it an excellent choice for liquid flashing applications, providing a durable, watertight seal around penetrations, pitch pockets, and pans. AIM #880 is also highly effective in polyurethane foam roof restoration, specifically for repairing hail-damaged foam roofs and ensuring long-term durability. Additionally, it works seamlessly with EPDM, PVC, and TPO roofing systems, enhancing their performance when adequately primed. AIM #880 delivers a reliable, long-lasting seal for industrial and warehouse roofing, minimizing shrinkage while maintaining strong adhesion. Its semi-self-leveling properties allow for easy application without excessive running, making it a trusted choice for roofing professionals.
Description
AIM #880 is a one component, non-shrink, advanced technology polyurethane sealant designed for the construction of liquid flashing systems and sealing pitch pockets and pans, metal roof seams & fasteners, inlaid gutters, polyurethane foam, PVC and EPDM roofs. It may also be used on TPO roofs when primed. When used on smooth surface modified bitumen and asphalt BUR priming 2 Part Epoxy Primer is recommended. AIM #880 is compatible with water-based acrylic coatings. It is ideal for repairing hail damaged polyurethane foam roofs. It may also be used in conjunction with metal pitch pockets.
AIM #880 is semi-self-leveling so that it can be used to fill pitch pockets and pans, seal gutters and metal roof seams & fasteners with minimal tooling. Viscous enough to avoid running and drain out issues encountered with more liquid sealers. AIM #880 is 100% solids which results in zero shrinkage. Conventional plastic caulk tube or 2 liter spout pouch packaging eliminates the requirement for custom application equipment and waste associated with larger packaging. Performance range is –40°F to +200°F.

Application
It is recommended that the roof surface be wiped clean. This will remove surface contamination and dramatically improve adhesion of the sealer to metal, PVC, primed TPO, EPDM and smooth surfaced asphalt and modified bitumen roofs. Insert cartridge into a standard “quart” size caulk gun. Cut tip, puncture seal and apply as desired. In pitch pans the material should be overfilled slightly so that water doesn’t sit in the pocket. Penetrations should be coated with AIM #880 one inch above the surface of the pitch pocket. Unused material can be saved by sealing the tip with tape or plastic film. Allow 24 hours before coating with water-based acrylic coatings.
Clean wet coating with soap and water. Dry coating may be removed with mineral spirits. Use care when handling solvents.
