Uses
AIM #990 is designed to protect and beautify sound asphalt surfaces, fill hairline cracks and provide increased traction. Used where a superior product is desired.
Description
AIM #990 UVcure Driveway Sealer Filler is a truly unique formula/technology driveway sealer. This product is designed to protect and beautify sound asphalt surfaces, fill hairline cracks and provide increased traction – similar to traditional asphalt emulsion driveway sealers.
However, AIM #990 contains proprietary ingredients that allow this product to produce added curing and chemical resistance when exposed to UV light. Thus, where traditional driveway sealers are degraded by exposure to sunlight, AIM #990 improves through UV exposure.
The unique chemistry of AIM #990 provides a product that is rain-ready in less than one hour, drive-ready in four hours, and non-tracking. Blended from proprietary, high-quality ingredients, AIM #990 UVcure Driveway Sealer Filler promotes longer life, resistance to early wash-off, and increased resistance to gasoline and motor oil. AIM #990 is easy to stir prior to use.
This product contains no harmful solvents and is free of irritating odors. AIM #990 UVcure Driveway Sealer Filler will provide a tough, durable, rich black finish – offering increased protection over traditional asphalt emulsion driveway sealers.

Application
PREPARATION
- CLEAN surface to be coated. Sweep off all loose dirt, dust and debris. Scrub grease and oil spots with an all-purpose detergent. Flush cleaned area with garden hose using strong water pressure.
- REPAIR all cracks and potholes larger than 1/8″. Cracks smaller than 1/2″ may be repaired using AIM #910 Driveway Crack Filler Pour Grade. Larger cracks, holes and depressions should be repaired using AIM #920 Driveway Crack Filler Trowel Grade or AIM #940 Pothole Patch. Allow repaired areas to properly cure before sealing.
APPLICATION
- STIR slightly to assure uniformity. AIM #990 UVcure Driveway Sealer Filler is designed to eliminate any hard- packed settling. Little stirring is required. Do not thin.
- LIGHTLY DAMPEN the surface with water when applied in temperatures above 80 degrees. Surface may be damp during application but puddles of water should be avoided.
- APPLY sealer with a roller or long handled driveway applicator, (squeegee on one side and brush on the other), at a rate of 1 gallon per 250 square feet. To assure proper coverage, measure out 1/2 gallon of sealer and apply to a premeasured area of approximately 125 square feet (approximately 10 ft. x 12 ft.). Spread sealer evenly and thinly with the squeegee part of applicator. Use the brush end of applicator to work sealer into rough areas and remove excess sealer from low areas.
- FINISH the area with a light pass of the brush assuring that all finishing strokes are in one direction for best appearance. Using the above application rate, continue to pour, spread and brush the sealer over the remaining surface.
COVERAGE: 250 square feet per gallon for smooth or previously sealed surfaces (1,250 sq. /5 gal.). Rough, porous or previously unsealed driveways may require more material and thus will yield lower application rates.
CLEAN UP: Soap and water can be used to clean tools before this product dries. Dried material may be cleaned up with mineral spirits or waterless hand cleaner. Use care when handling solvents.
HELPFUL HINTS & PRECAUTIONS
- This product will cure in 4 hours for light vehicle traffic when applied according to labeled instructions. Temperatures below 65°F and relative humidity above 60% will increase the cure time.
- Avoid parking vehicles on coated surface for 24 hours.
- Apply coating in the morning on a clear sunny day with temperatures at or above 65°F. This will allow the coating the benefit of the full day’s sunshine.
- The old adage “more is better” does not apply to driveway sealers. Recommended coverage rates should be followed as close as possible. Over application can dramatically increase cure time, can cause tracking, and may cause the surface to become slippery.
- Allow new driveways a period of 6 months to cure before sealing.
- Do not apply to concrete.
